the fact is they are right wingers. They just don't admit it. They defend Trump and the White Supremacists. They are cheering on the rise of fascism because just like the deplorables, they are motivated by an intense hatred for Democratic voters, especially women and people of color. They constantly whine about how oppressed white people are. In some ways they are worse than the run of the mill White Supremacist because they are arrogant about their shocking level of ignorance. It's one thing to be a stupid and another to be arrogant about being so completely fucking stupid.

You'll observe the level of misogyny and racism on DU has declined dramatically in their absence. They were always the most reactionary members of the site.

who passed away last year, was used for what eventually turned out to be a nest of lunatics. I signed up at JPR when it was first created because I was worn out from all the hateful Bernie-bashing on DU, but before long it started to go down a pretty weird path so I stopped even reading there. The human Jackpine Radical seemed like a gentle soul, and it's very sad that his DU name has been taken for purposes that probably would have horrified him.
