“The Secret Service is in negotiations with the Trump Organization to take over two vacant floors in the gilded 68-story Fifth Avenue tower,” law enforcement sources told the New York Post.

“The federal agency and the NYPD plan to run a 24/7 command post out of the space that would be housed at least 40 floors below Trump’s $90 million penthouse triplex, where wife Melania and their 10-year-old son Barron will continue to reside at least through the spring, sources said.”

If he and his family were to relocate to the White House after the inauguration like previous Presidents and their spouses, there would be no need for this conversation. The news reported that his Thanksgiving trip to Mar-a-Lago had a 42 vehicle motorcade at an expense of over $7M. It's highly ironic that the candidate who has paid no taxes for the past 20 years is about to drive the Treasury into the poor house to pay for his eccentricities.

Trump said from the beginning that he could be the first president who made money off of running for the presidency and it pains me that this might turn out to be the one thing that he actually told the truth about.
