Related: About this forumOn the German TV news tonight: possible hacking and vote reporting fraud in WI, MI and PA
If German TV thought it significant enough to report, then it's a sure thing other countries in Europe and Asia did, too.
The 1% or so margin of victory for Trump (only a third of that in Michigan) apparently did not jive with a lot of factors they were analyzing. Not only do they have no explanation for Trump's victory in those states, but they are practically saying something is very fishy, without coming right out and stating electoral fraud as a fact.
The reason this is news is because the total of these 3 states is 46 electoral votes, which, subtracted from Trump and added to Hillary's column, gives Hillary the presidency.
Is this worth fighting for? It's not my decision, because if it were, I'd be demanding recounts/investigations already. The anomalies in Wisconsin are already documented for some areas. If they are proven to be typical and systematic, then it's President Hillary, and let the right wing howl to the moon until their throats are sore (and howl they would!)

At a cheap $1000/hr x 15hrs/day x 1200 stations, rw talk radio is worth 4.68 BIL$/ year or 390MIL$ /month FREE for coordinated global warming denial, pro republican wall st think tank propaganda, free market deregulation bullshit, swiftboating, and the hate and fear used to get people to vote republican.
FU Dem Party, but especially the progressive organizations.
Important states, and limbaugh stations they support by broadcasting sports on those stations
at they're worth 1 x 15 x 5 = $75.000/week free to gop and yesterday limbaugh weighed in from all those stations ridiculing recount thoughts, getting the screaming hoards ready
MICHIGAN 19 $1,425,000 Michigan St. 11, Michigan 7, Western Michigan 1
NORTH CAROLINA 16 $1,200,000 North Carolina 8, North Carolina State 3, Duke 3, East Carolina 2
OHIO 10 $750,000 Ohio St. 6, Toledo 1, Dayton 1, Bowling Green 1, Xavier 1
PENNSYLVANIA 14 $1,050,000 Penn St. 11, Pittsburgh 2, Temple 1 (well known climate scientist Michael Mann works at Penn State!)
WISCONSIN 3 $225,000 Wisconsin 3
255 limbaugh stations supported by 90 universities x $75,000 = $19,125,000/wk x 54 = about $1BIL/yr worth of Republican propaganda that would have a hard time happening without the help of those 90 universities.

The campaign for Green Party candidate Jill Stein announced today that its gunning for a recount in three battleground states -- Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania -- to address concerns about the election before it is certified.
After a divisive and painful presidential race, reported hacks into voter and party databases and individual email accounts are causing many American to wonder if our election results are reliable, Stein said in a statement from her campaign. These concerns need to be investigated before the 2016 presidential election is certified. We deserve elections we can trust."

(2,679 posts)In a real normal world fishy election results, the Russian involvement, the neo-nazi involvement, the fraud, the many miss steps by the creature of orange commits, and the list goes on. And I degrees from the point. The Point is, in the normal world, all this would be every where 24/7. Like The Benghazi crap, the private email bull shit, the hacked email garbage, and all the bill had issues, were constantly repeated over and over.
Seems the only thing we can do is call government people and hope they do something. And most people don't even know that because the press barely mentions any of this.
At some point, the anger over "this" is going to explode. And when I say "this", I mean the lack of confidence in our government and the country's founding principles. People don't take part in the elections because they don't trust them.
At this point it won't matter who becomes President and there is no investigation about the actual election and also about the campaign process.
Who ever is President will never be able to govern. Half the people will refuse that, that person won fair and square. This has been boiling for decades already and this year's election did anything but help with this issue. Actually it just took the amount of gas you can load in one of those ships that transport gas on to an already raging fire. The anger is on both sides. And acting like everything is normal, move along nothing to see here treatment by the media and the government just further adds more anger and resentment.
There is going to be a boiling point soon. This country is divided and broken.

We don't inhabit this planet alone, even if half of America thinks we do.
AND--if the Senate races lost by Feingold and McGinty were also erroneously awarded to the Republicans along with the presidency, the Senate has two more Democrats and the Vice-Presidency, which would put it back in our camp. So, I say it's worth fighting for.
A ninth Supreme Court justice like Scalia or one like Sotomayor, what's yer preference?

I want to fight this! I don't want that vile creature ruining the world. What are we supposed to do!?!
I know what most want to do but no one will dare say it and neither will I, yet. Right now no one wants to think it might come to that. I hope they are right.
But right now, I want to do something anything. Did all the calls, petition signing pass the word telling others to do the same, took part in protests and plan to take part in more protests and yes I voted!
It's not that we won't do anything. I think we don't know what to do so we wait for something to happen.
I wish this would all just be over already. It is so frustrating.

(7,639 posts)She's probably afraid she'll be thrown in jail by Trump if she does.
Hopefully, someone can talk some sense into her but I doubt it. If she listened to common sense she wouldn't have run to begin with and we'd have a Democratic President because the results would be too overwhelming in terms of numbers for the GrOPers to cheat.
Trump winning? It takes a monumentally unpopular candidate to lose to that hot mess of orange buffoonery.

Hillary would've defeated Trump very easily as projected (5+ popular vote, 323+ electoral vote) if Comey/FBI/Guiliani didn't violate the Hatch Act with 11 days to go in the election, an unprecedented and egregious act of treason that threw the election to Trump.

There were so many tiny fringe parties represented in the Reichstag of the Weimarer Republik that when the Bundestag was created after the war, a party had to get at least 5% of the vote to be represented at all.

(5,943 posts)Germany and one other country were mentioned when news broke that voter registration data had been hacked prior to the election.
DFW
(54,445 posts)But as you said, it was with the registration. Whether the actual voting tallies were manipulated or not, I don't know, but they do not use electronic voting machines here.
What happened was that on one election day, she went to vote in our town here near Düsseldorf. She was told she couldn't vote here because she lived in Munich, down in Bavaria. She protested that not only did she not live in Munich, but she had NEVER lived in Munich. The voting official said their computer showed her as living in Munich so she couldn't vote here. Quick-thinking, she demanded that they look up our two daughters, then 3 and 5 years old, and see what address they were registered at. Sure enough, they were registered at the proper address here in the Rheinland. She then told the voting official to either call the police and have her arrested for child abandonment, or else let her vote. Seeing they were heading for trouble, they let her vote. She then went to the City Hall and demanded they erase her Munich residence. Whoever hacked into with their system did a good job, because they couldn't manage to erase her "former" Munich residence, but they did manage to move her "back."
If everyone would "Give a #uck and Give a Buck!" to Jill Stein, we could get this recount going.
Hell, I'd give to the orange cheetoh himself if he wanted to do a recount!

The machines run on Windows 2000 with all its vulnerabilities, and do indeed NOT need to be connected to the internet to be manipulated from afar.

(50,564 posts)According to electoral-vote.com, there are five "barely Republican" states, all of which have a margin of 4 percent or less between the two candidates:
Florida: 29 EV
Pennsylvania: 20 EV
NC: 15 EV
Michigan: 16 EV
Wisconsin: 10 EV
Florida plus one other state, or any combination of three states that do not include Florida, will flip the election.
As I said before, this shit would be SO much easier if we weren't dealing with an essentially-solid four-state-wide bright red stripe running straight down the middle of the country. And if it wasn't for Gary Johnson diluting the Trump vote in Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada and Minnesota, Trump would have won those states too.
