Which of the Upper Midwest states we are trailing in let people put initiatives on the ballot?

As we register and re-register people to vote in those states, people in those states could try putting measures on the ballot that would distribute the electoral votes on an overall proportional basis.

I think MI, PA and WI will switch back to being reliably Dem in 2020. LonePirate Nov 2016 #1

From now on they'll probably stay swing states and Ohio and Iowa are now safe red states. Ken Burch Nov 2016 #4

2016 was simply a perfect storm that caused them to flip red. OH will likely revert to back to swing status next time but IA may now be solidly red. We need to work on MN and WI, though.

As such, proportional distribution of electoral votes in those states is not something I support.

It would be useful for Mojarras... "Sorry, illegal immigrants who swam across the Rio Grande", to know which states want and value their labor to pick their crops.

This way, the "illegals (for short)" could avoid going into states where they are not welcome, and spare the sensitivities of people who would rather pay 4 times as much for their produce than have the crops picked by ugly, filthy, illegal, undocumented workers.

how to give out the electoral votes. So unless a state legislature has given that right up to ballot initiative, this wouldn't work.

Plus, why give a way electoral votes that for the most part are reliably blue?

If we run the same kind of campaign in those states next time, it's impossible for us to gain strength in any of them.
