Remember the WA state Governor's recount in 2004

The NC governor's race is very close. We need to do everything we can to help Cooper win. McCrory is claiming ballot tampering in heavily Dem counties.
So similar to 2004 governor's race in WA. Dino Rossi, was actually certified as Governor-elect, but Christine Gregoire, the Dem, insisted on a recount. It was ecpensive to pay for the recount, and her campaign couldn't do it alone.
Some DU folks contributed, and we lobbied Emily's List who came through with a significant donation.
Gregoire won the recount and went on to serve two terms as governor.

Moral of story - does Cooper need our help in North Carolina? Does anyone know the situation and how we can help? Please let us know! Thanks, hannah

Rossi succeeded in moving it over to our conservative county. Little did he know we have some very courageous and smart judges and lawyers here. I have been a member of the legal community for over 25 years. Those guys are my heroes. I didn't know DU helped fund it. Brava!

and, he in fact, has sent an e-mail to supporters requesting help.

The latest is that McCrory is contesting the vote counts in 52 counties, mostly claiming that either dead people voted, or felons voted, or people also voted in another state.
The election was overseen by Republicans--appointed by McCrory--and the Election Board in each county consists of two Republicans and one Democrat.

I've seen an article that suggests this recount/contesting process could go on until about Dec. 9th.

McBigot boy is done. He's toast. Just a sore loser.

Just sent them $100. McBigot indeed. Time to send him to early retirement in his home town of Hatesville.

to aggregate information, fundraise - and try to get more re-counts. Is any MSM even sniffing at this?
