John Bolton, Top Contender For Secretary Of State, Calls For Regime Change In Iran

neo Cons are back!

John Bolton, a top candidate to serve as President-elect Donald Trump’s secretary of state, is publicly calling for the U.S. to help overthrow the existing government in Iran.

“The only long-term solution is regime change in Tehran,” the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations told SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily on Thursday morning. “The ayatollahs are the principal threat to international peace and security in the Middle East.”

1. One thing I find fascinating is how Trump is going to square:

1) rapprochement with his BFF Putin (ally of Assad and Iran)
2) teaming up with Putin's ally Assad to attack ISIS (a goal shared by Iran)
3) overt hostility to Iran
4) Israel's strong desire to see Assad removed from power.

It's like he hasn't thought all of this through.

Nor the intellectual ability to think through possible consequences of his actions. What is sad he is surrounding himself with hangers on that have no abilities for governance at an international level. The only quality he deems necessary is Trump worship. And that is all that he deems necessary.

All the crooks and criminals from Bush and before will have their resumes all polished up and ready to be hired. I'm waiting for Elliot Abrams' name to floated about. Oh yeah, and Mr. North.

Peace

Is Hillary Clinton a neocon?

Several neoconservatives have spent years gushing about Clinton’s penchant for supporting basically every foreign war or military escalation in the last decade, including Kagan, who said in 2014: “I feel comfortable with her on foreign policy ... If she pursues a policy which we think she will pursue, it’s something that might have been called neocon, but clearly her supporters are not going to call it that; they are going to call it something else.”
