So just to recap:

Guy with Trump sign at President Obama's speech: President uses it as a chance to discuss freedom of expression. End of matter.

Guy with anti-Trump sign at Trump rally: Somebody shouts "Gun!" and guy gets tackled to ground in pure chaos.

The SS and most LEO's are trained to react to someone shouting that word. It's almost Pavlovian. If it had happened while Pres Obama or Ms Clinton was on stage, I'm pretty sure the same thing would have happened. The protocol is to get the protectee to a safe place and then finish checking about the weapon threat.

Now, when Trump returned to the stage, his remarks were typical for him. At least they praised the SS and LEOs for their prompt reaction, but I don't think this is that big of a deal.

The blatant hypocrisy/Orwellian propaganda is absolutely astounding!

6. Not the same thing. If Obama were running for re-election, the heckler would be thrown out.

Trump is running for president.

You are NOT--repeat NOT--allowed to bring in signs at a presidential rally during the GE campaign. I suspect that is Secret Service regulations or requirements.

I have been to numerous rallies with the presidential general election candidates. That rule is consistent.

I can't stand Trump, but the guy deserved to have his ass kicked out of there.

The reaction of the Trump supporters to this idiot with the anti-Trump sign is WHY the rule of no one allowed to bring signs to these rallies is there.
