I can't wait for the election to just be here.

The news for Hillary is uncertain and mixed, but net quite positive -- no guarantees but I think we're good.

That doesn't mean the wait is any easier. I'm so distracted: not terribly productive at work, the backyard is full of leaves, a pile of errands undone. Just keep clicking on twitter feeds for the latest little election nugget.

people taking regular ambien have done while asleep . . . you might wake up in the middle of a Trump crowd wearing a "Make America Great Again" hag, shouting sexist/racist/etc. slogans.

(Full disclosure - I take ambien occasionally and, fortunately, don't sleep walk/drive/etc. while on it. Or, if I do, my spouse is keeping mum about it.)

16. I have to second Ms. Toad's view on Ambien

Stuff is NASTY (and not in a Nasty Woman sort of way)!!! My wife was prescribed Ambien and once she got thru the period where she needed it, found it almost impossible to go off. What it finally came down to was running out of her prescription on a holiday weekend and not being able to get it renewed. She made the decision right then and there to go cold turkey. A week of sleepless nights before she was finally able to sleep out of pure exhaustion.

I refer to that period as "sleeping with the Ambien".

28. You must mean "fortunately" you don't sleep walk/drive/etc. while on it.

Because I do, and its a real drag.

I had to stop taking it, which sucks, as it actually helped me sleep, except when I was sleep walking and doing odd things like eating food I don't like when I wouldn't even have been hungry, sending emails, etc. Nothing dangerous, but I had no way of knowing what I might do next time I took it.

For me, it's innocuous - aside from losing the ability to grab the right word quite as quickly as usual when I've taken it several nights in a row. And even when I've taken it for an extended period of time, once whatever is keeping me from sleeping passes I can stop taking it and still sleep like a baby.

I am spending Tuesday evening with other supporters, a few close friends and one offspring. Some libations for the drinkers and warm apple cider for the rest. I have Monday off and am making some cut out sugar cookies with my donkey cookie cutter; icing them red, white, and blue, of course! Maybe a pot of chili, I haven't decided on real food yet.
