Conyers and Cummings call for investigation of FBI leaks

Two senior House Democrats are asking the Justice Department's inspector general to investigate whether the FBI is leaking information that could benefit Donald Trump.

Rep. Elijah E. Cummings and Rep. John Conyers, Jr., ranking members on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and House Judiciary Committee, respectively, cited Trump campaign surrogate Rudy Giuliani’s suggestion on Fox News on Friday that he “heard about” a new FBI review of materials in the Hillary Clinton email investigation from “former FBI agents” and expected such an announcement to come earlier.
