7. Their intentions are good... they just put *WAY* too much weight on enthusiasm

First off, enthusiasm is nebulous and hard to measure.

A week ago, they had pro-Hillary enthusiasm way up and pro-Trump voters disheartened.... so they showed a 50-38 Clinton lead.

Now... they show pro-Trump enthusiasm through the roof, and pro-Clinton voters a little down in the dumps... so they show a 46-45 Trump lead.


The thing is.... the most enthusiastic voter in the world still only gets one vote..... and the most apathetic voter in the world, if they go to the polls, still counts as exactly one vote.

The polls that don't put a large weight on the "enthusiasm factor" are showing Clinton with steady 4 to 6 point leads.


The ABC poll will fluctuate greatly..... and its final week polls in 2012 showed Romney 1 to 3 points ahead. Because his voters were a little more enthusiastic than Obama's. But their actual *NUMBERS* weren't greater. The early voting push by Dems helps offset this.


They aren't "liars" at ABC ... they just have a poor model. We were never up by 12... and we aren't down by 1.

The poll shows Hillary with enough states in the bag to win the election. Trump leads only because his fanboys in the solid red states are really fired up. Look at their chart on Red States, Blue States and Swing states. It shows Hillary has this locked up while Trump is running up his score in Red States which don't matter to the final electoral vote count.
