Speaker Boehner Scolds Romney For Criticizing President Obama While He’s Abroad

Speaker of the House John Boehner took Republican hopeful Mitt Romney to task for criticizing President Obama while he’s traveling abroad.

“Clearly while the president is overseas, he’s at a conference and while the president is overseas I think it’s appropriate that people not be critical of him or our country,” Boehner chided, responding to a question from NBC News about whether Romney was correct to call Russia America’s “number one geopolitical foe.”

it. We know how quick Republicans were to say no criticizing Bush while he's overseas or while the country is at war.

a very strange way to voice it: "it's appropriate the people not be critical" instead of "it's not appropriate for people to be critical", but at least he said something.

good for him to say *something*. Kinda unexpected coming from him. I wish that somebody would also tell the Republicans to tone down their Iran warmongering rhetoric in the name of attacking President Obama.

And if he remains Speaker, he still will have President Obama to work with. Even Bonehead has moments of lucidity.
