Chaos In The State Senate As Battle For Control Continues

NY Daily News:

Four renegade Democrats are refusing to say whether they’ll back a Republican or a Democrat to lead the chamber, essentially throwing the senate into chaos.

The four — who broke away from the Democratic conference two years ago and have worked closely with the GOP — want an unprecedented bipartisan coalition that would jointly run the Senate.

...snip...

Senate Independent Democratic Conference Leader Jeffrey Klein wants his four-member group recognized as an official Senate conference that could work with both sides of the aisle.

Those close to the four have said the conference wants a bigger role in policy matters. Specifically, they want a minimum wage hike, a role in the post-Sandy rebuilding of New York, and the creation of a Dream Fund to raise college scholarship money for undocumented immigrants.

(paraphrase) "we want a bunch of really progressive agenda-items and power-sharing with the GOP or else we're going to caucus with the GOP."

That's really what they're saying? Are these people mentally-defective?

Do they think they're going to get any of those things if they swing power to the GOP? Hell no!

...something the Democrats were unable to do when they "controlled" the Senate.
