So, what is it exactly that Loretta Lynch does?

It's been days since her employee set the house on fire and walked away, yet not a word from her? He answers to the Attorney General, what steps has she taken to rein him in? It would seem to me that the increasingly bipartisan backlash to his actions gives her enough political cover to demand his resignation.

The FBI is under the Department of Justice. As Lynch is head of that agency, Comey is subordinate to her.

about her lack of authority over a director within her department.
If Comey is known to act on his own regularly, according to what I am reading today, then why has he been able to retain his position? A man who flaunts the policies of his own department is not a man who should be in a leadership position.

with only a few days to go that would give fuel to conspiracy nuts. Instead, the strategy has been to demand more information, expose the possible violations of law that Comey has violated, including the Hatch Act, and the fact this involved Huma'a/Weiner's computer, and has nothing to do with Hillary

After the election, no question about it, Comey should be hung out to dry

A.G. Lynch knows that if she fires Comey before the election the optics would be
bad and it would pour gas on the fire. 11/9/16 and Comey will be fired.

What is right is right. Delaying his firing or demanding his resignation, or at the least, putting the Wiener investigation under someone else is the least that should be done and now. Waiting weeks or months will NOT reduce the fallout but this must not be allowed to stand without consequence.

The optics of demanding his Resignation before the election would be terrible and probably hurtful to Hillary's chances. In addition, the FBI Director is appointed for 10 years specifically to remove him/her from politics. He does serve at the pleasure of the President, but it would be political suicide to fire an FBI Director without cause. You and I may believe President Obama would be justified in firing him now, but I doubt that the majority of the American people would agree.

Even after the election I would wait until this matter is put to bed, one way or another. If it turns out to be a non story, and especially if it turns out the FBI was also investigating the Trump campaign for ties with Russia, then would be the time to go after the Director.

and interfering. Worse optics.

Apparently, the DoJ discouraged Comey from going forward but they did not order him to not go forward.

I think we all need more facts about why this has happened.

I say that the only people on earth who can never stop being punished for mistakes are Bill and Hillary Clinton.

No number of sincere apologies are adequate. Only they must pay and pay and pay forever and forever for their mistakes.
All the rest of us are 'just being human and humans make mistakes so let us move on.' But, don't ever let a Clinton move on. Never.
Hillary Clinton should get 10 Nobel Prizes for still being standing after all she has gone through and been able to keep smiling, at least in public. I hope she cries in private because otherwise, I don't see how she bears it.
