2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSo, where's Tim Kaine?
It's generally the role of the running mate to serve as the candidate's "attack dog," to defend the campaign in a manner the candidate can't. If I were in charge of HRC's campaign, I'd have had Kaine out there from the get-go, loudly denouncing the "scandal" as a nothingburger, and casting aspersions on Comey's motives. For the life of me, I can't understand why Kaine has vanished over the past two days.

Barack and Michelle Obama are also refusing to be distracted into disastrously focusing on emails as well.
There's a lesson here.

(2,470 posts)Just FYI-Kaine appeared on the Sunday morning political shows and did a great job of defending the Clinton campaign and pointing out the obvious concerns with Comey's inexplicable letter.
