here's what we know about what wilson claims to know:

1) there are two pieces of oppo against trump out there that he is aware of that have yet to be released to the public
2) he doesn't always believe in oppo that can completely end a campaign, but this might do it
3) at least one of the oppo pieces is news that will especially hurt trump with a part of his base, make them say "whoa!"
4) he says it is not his information to release, but he knows what it is and that it is out there
5) several other gop strategists/insiders are also aware of this information including liz mair and frank luntz. when asked about how damaging the email story would be to hillary, luntz said on twitter that all she has to do is survive this week and let the story on trump drop.
6) he has been hinting that it will drop near the end of the week/final weekend.
7) both the clinton team and some reporters/media folks are aware of what this is, might explain why they aren't in a freakout mode over the comey bullshit. wilson complimented them for being very disciplined in how they are going to use the info on trump, showing patience and not in a hurry to get it out there.

the part about it hurting trump with his base really narrows it down for me. it's either a story about trump being not-so-pro-life or some other kind of really weird sex story (models/escorts/human trafficking). i'm not sure a definitive connection to russia/putin or a really nasty racist tape would hurt him too much with his base, they seem to be okay with those sorta things. though both would effectively nuke trump with the middle of the country.

this could just be mind games with the trump supporters that he loathes but not sure why he'd stake his rep on it and get other conservatives to vouch for him in the process. wilson and luntz both know about sleazy campaign tactics and messaging that resonates with conservative base voters, for them to think this could be a really big deal speaks volumes to me. i guess we'll just have to wait and see but i hope he's correct about this.

he's working on the evan mcmullin independent campaign and wants him to win, but at the very least wants to ensure that trump doesn't. he's been on the last word and all in numerous times and for the last few weeks has been hinting at knowing about two pieces of information about trump that have yet to be made public. the other night when someone on twitter asked him if oppo was still coming he responded "Out of my hands. " which makes me think it's a bit of a double meaning, that it was in his possession but has now been passed on to someone else to publicly leak.
