2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThink the CONservatives are worried about their aging demos? New free magazine "Conservative Teen."
As seen on Wonkette -- picturing a bunch of old white guys with consultants trying desperately to make dittoheads out of teenagers. Pretty cheesy!
http://wonkette.com/468250/amazing-magazine-the-conservative-teen-has-a-lot-to-say-none-of-it-by-teens
And of course, because the titular reader of this magazine doesnt know anything because they are home-schooled in a patient manner, the articles in The Conservative Teen are written by grownups, who all happen to be involved with either The Heritage Foundation, Fox Business News, the Family Research Council or the Media Research Center. Fun fun fun!
Yikes! My kids better not bring filth like this home or they'll be grounded!

Beartracks
(12,814 posts)Well, never mind -- it's too late. From the Subscribe tab of their Web page:
"Regrettably, we were unable to reach the minimum number of subscribers required to mass print the first issue of The Conservative Teen magazine. The completed first issue in digital form is now available for free viewing on this website. ...
For those interested in a future subscription, you are welcome to add your email address to our database using the link below so that we can notify you when we resume publishing."
As for advertising, they apparently didn't have any. From their Advertise tab:
"We only allow the promotion of services and causes which are wholly consistent with the values of our publication and its readership. We are therefore 100% subscriber-funded and do not sell advetising <sic> space. Nontheless, you are welcome to submit your service or cause for promotional consideration."

(12,814 posts)For what it's worth. Obviously, they felt this image would appeal to the intended audience (parents/grandparents with kids in the family for whom the magazine would be purchased).

(54,387 posts)Portraying a gorgeous Danish girl on the cover, and then trying to convince their readership
that "abstinence works?" That should do about as well as convincing a vegan to work at a
