Media claims of race tightening at this point = the media's pure hatred of Hillary

Think about it:

Trump is the worst presidential candidate, ever. He has no ground game, no organization, no support from his own party. He is at war on three fronts, with Hillary, with his party and with the media. His campaign has been rocked by his exposure as a sexual predator. Major R pols are openly saying they won't vote for him and are pledging their support for Hillary. His surrogates are crap while Hillary's are great. Newspapers that have never endorsed a D are endorsing Hillary. Newspapers are going out of their way to write editorials decrying Trump.

You know, you'd think that would spell doom for Trump, or any politician. Insert any name besides Trump and that person is a loser. So why does the media keep pushing the narrative that he is making a comeback, when nothing has changed in the last week?

I thought it was about Trump, that the media was giving him a pass. But it's now clear that what it's about has nothing to do with Trump. It has to do with the beltway media's abject hatred of the Clintons. Because if it was Obama or Kerry or Sanders running against Trump, the media would not be talking about a comeback. They would be talking about a blowout.

In a nutshell: the media's hatred of the Clintons is so great that they believe the public's hatred and distrust of the Clintons is also so great that said hatred will overwhelm all of the horrible, disqualifying things about Trump. Imagine, a hatred so great that it would have you excuse away the actions of a confessed sexual predator who regards women as dirt. A hatred so great that you will excuse away the lies, the bigotry, the overt racism of Donald Trump.

That is why the media plays up every insignificant rumor about Hillary as being campaign ending: they hate her so much that they believe the public is looking for a reason - any reason, no matter how insignificant - to not vote for her.

And THAT my friends is what it boils down to. You ask why the media promotes a horserace when none exists? It's their hatred of Hillary, pure and simple.

It LOOKED like Anderson Cooper, but the broadcast SOUNDED like a Trump campaign roundtable.

That the media *does* want Hillary to beat Trump and is trying to say and do things to get out the vote for Hillary. If they say it's a guaranteed blowout, people might not bother to vote. Few in the media have any reason to like Trump.

It's like watching Mayweather fight another bum and them hyping it up to be the fight of the century when almost everyone knows whose going to win unless some "miracle" occurs.

Something to remember is that networks sell ads by guaranteeing ratings. If the ratings aren't met, the seller network has to provide free air time. It's in the networks' interest to figure out how to keep viewers viewing. If the election is a blowout, that means less general interest in watching about it 24/7.

10. It's probably a good thing that less and less people watch regular TV and network news all the time.

I think there are a lot of people out there like me that just have Netflix for entertainment and then I just read local news websites. I get all I need from that. I've only read about this race tightening (supposedly) on this site.

I use Tivo to skip ads. I never watch any ads - either mute the sound or pause.

Usually I record and them watch later at my pleasure.

Nothing more annoying than 5 minutes of ads then 30 seconds of crap then another two minutes of ads. As if their BS is worth all my time.

Most of the news on cable is opinion spinning.

Who wants to hear a parade of spinners stating their employer's case?
