Being reporting on local news. We actually have some interesting state and city measures as well as a State Senate race that's splitting the local party in two.

(4,150 posts)I love how Nancy Pelosi just 'pops up' on ballot at election time--NO need to spend campaign money here!

(58,835 posts)I opened my ballot and voted wearing only a t-shirt and boxers and dropped in the mailbox on the way to the BART station the next morning. The city even pays our postage.
But....I had a very hard time choosing between Kim and Wiener because I frankly, don't like either candidate.

(4,150 posts)And I agree. We ARE spoiled. I voted at work and walked downstairs and dropped it in my postage paid envelope into the mailbox!
I did vote for Kim, as I sincerely dislike Wiener, but I did not do so enthusiastically.

(58,835 posts)If Wiener wins, Lee replaces him with another moderate. If Kim wins, it potentially tilts the Board. So, I decided to send Wiener to Sacramento and keep Kim as a check on the mayor. They'll vote pretty much the same in the Senate. I regret losing Leno. We've lost a generation of good officials in the last few years.
