People find other people attractive. It's a fact of life. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating it without turning it into something it isn't.

Just because we find a woman attractive doesn't automatically mean we consider her a piece of meat. It's an absurd notion.

making decisions for our futures rather than just old, tired men (I say this as an old, tired man).
We need some dynamic new ideas and approaches to solving the world's problems and I suspect these ideas will come from folk who look more like these two national leaders than they do like me.

Not that I believe that all old folk are stupid but they are rarely innovative trail blazers.
Old rules and relationships that have governed us have failed to meet the basic needs of modern society. The old guard has proved to be nothing more than corrupt hoarders, unwilling to recognize the value of their charges. They need to go.
I am really hoping that President Obama will be a transitional character in American politics and that he will (in his second term) promote progressive policies that address the gross inequalities and injustices so prevalent in our current system.
If, in the next four years, the price of health care can be reduced by socializing the cost, some banker-criminals are prosecuted and sent to jail, the mortgage bubble is adjusted to reflect the true values of properties, new pot laws empty prisons, and republican obstructionists continue to be exposed for the regressive and harmful legislation they promote, then maybe Americans can put themselves back onto a course that works for the many and not just the few.
But as long as we are fighting each other, over the few crumbs thrown our way, we will continue to point the finger of blame at the party in power and fail to embrace a vision that will promote a better world in the future.
We all, not just the young, need to pressure Obama to support fundamental changes that redirect America so it can become the land of its promise. A land of freedom, liberty and justice for all.
We need to apply this pressure (call our congresspeople, hit the streets, write letters, be heard) because there will be and has been monumental opposition to making any change that would upset the status-quo.
