Republicans still furious at Chris Christie for being governor

On Nov. 3, Mr. Christie called Rupert Murdoch, the influential News Corporation chief and would-be kingmaker, who had warned in a biting post on Twitter that the governor might be responsible for Mr. Obama’s re-election.

Mr. Christie told Mr. Murdoch that amid the devastation, New Jersey needed friends, no matter their political party, according to people briefed on the discussion. But Mr. Murdoch was blunt: Mr. Christie risked looking like a spoiler unless he publicly affirmed his support for Mitt Romney, something the governor did the next day.

Given what had just happened to his state, you might think Republicans would have cut Christie a little bit of slack—and that Christie would have had better things to do than trying to respond—but if so, you'd be wrong.
But in the days after the storm, Mr. Christie and his advisers were startled to hear from out-of-state donors to Mr. Romney, who had little interest in the hurricane and viewed him solely as a campaign surrogate, demanding to know why he had stood so close to the president on a tarmac. One of them questioned why he had boarded Mr. Obama’s helicopter, according to people briefed on the conversations.

Christie did the right thing for his state and asked for some help, just as the other governors did too! Amazing, there where rich people who where devastated also, and the right wingers could cared less and blamed the loss on a natural disaster and Christie!

He's already admitted that the federal government plays a necessary role in the well being of its citizens, and that adequate tax revenue is a necessity. He's taken some big strides in the past few weeks, albeit he was prodded by a horrible disaster. If he could get on board with expanding Medicare and denounce the 1% he could make a decent Democrat.

And we don't need any more moderate conservatives in the party. The whole problem is that moderates have abandoned the GOP.

Defeat Opponents At All Costs. If people die as a result, they probably weren't wealthy enough to survive.

I actually hope the GOP keeps this Social Darwinism: That way, we can all sit back and laugh as these fools emulate the 19th-century Whigs!
