Has anyone been watching Oliver Stone's "Untold History of the United States" on Showtime? (Original Post) DJWBlue Nov 2012 OP
Trying to watch now mzteaze Nov 2012 #1
I agree. It's pretty pedestrian. Certainly not "eye-opening" or "groundbreaking" as it has been DJWBlue Nov 2012 #3

It's worth watching, but there is nothing controversial about it, as it has been described on DJWBlue Nov 2012 #4

They played it up as being somewhat groundbreaking. I am a history buff and will watch for sure.

He highlights how Russia beat the Nazi war machine in a way that is normally overlooked...at least in my education it was glossed over. I knew the Russian people suffered but I wasn't really aware of all that they did, all that they sacrificed to fight back and win on that huge front. I've heard, watched and listened to much about America and England and their efforts but never very much about Russia. It's probably just me. I've been enjoying it and I'm glad to see anything good that's about history.
