It's often common to have a long list of names, and then it gets whittled down....why is the media making a burger out of this?

I must've missed something, too. Is there some sort of scandal now about how she chose Kaine? I wouldn't know because I haven't turned on a single chatter channel lately.

But the media, as the OP implies, is trying to "make something" out of the process, because they have nothing better to do. Certainly not anything resembling real journalism.
