Is there a double standard for women in politics?

Imagine if it were Hillary Clinton who had had five children by three husbands, who had said it was fine to refer to her daughter as a “piece of ass,” who participated in a radio conversation about oral sex in a hot tub, who rated men based on their body parts, who showed up in Playboy soft porn videos.

Imagine if 15 men had accused Clinton of assaulting or violating them, with more stepping forward each day.

Imagine if Clinton had held a Mr. Teen USA pageant and then marched unannounced into the changing area to ogle the young bodies as some were naked and, after doing the same thing at a Mr. USA pageant, marveled on a radio show at what she was allowed to get away with.

Not all of them are because she is a woman. Some certainly are. There is a double standard when the aggressor is male and the victim is female, versus older female-on-younger male; still mired in sexism. If some of the shit uttered by Trump or his defenders were done by democrats, people would be marching in the damn streets! Look at the reactions, even here, when Anthony Weiner was exposed (no pun intended).

Some of the double standards are because of sexism, but there are quite a few double standards because of political affiliation; if it were any democrat, shit would be hitting the fan so hard, the entire country would be smeared. The media would be leading the charge.

But yes, the OP is correct. If HRC were 6' 2" and 240 pounds and groped men 5'10" & 160 pounds, everything in the OP would apply.
