I think the GOP criticism of Obama on all foreign policy positions
was the start of the breakup of democracy in the US. Trump is just bringing such sacred rule breaking to its logical conclusion with his attempts to deligitimized the election results before they happen and his threat to jail Hillary Clinton. The GOP started with the destruction of american democratic traditions before Trump.
