2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI voted early today - only took 10 minutes.
I voted for criminal justice reform, increasing the minimum wage, raising taxes on the rich, closing corporate tax loopholes, repairing local infrastructure and improving our State's public schools. The latter two were local & State initiatives, the others are contained in my vote for President - Hillary Clinton.
If you can vote early in your State please consider it. Just google where and when you can vote early in your area. Otherwise vote November 8.
Let's win the presidency, the house, the senate and also very importantly let's keep supporting liberal ballot initiatives on local and state levels too. Thank you fellow DUers.
Have a great weekend everyone!

(11,833 posts)Congratulations on never missing an election since the 26th Amendment. That's quite an accomplishment. I must admit that years ago I missed some local elections. No more though. Never again my friend. Now I vote for all the local and state elections. I love voting for or against the initiatives on the ballots. With President Obama I also wanted to help elect the most liberal candidates possible in the House and Senate. Local and mid-term elections mean so much to me now. I started out by wanting to have Obama's back. And now I really want improvements in my area and one important way of doing that is by voting in every single election.
Hope you enjoy a good weekend!

Have the voter pamphlet in hand. We also have several initiatives and things to look at, along with political positions. All of my incumbants are blue, so not many decisions to worry over.
