Can I assume that a concession speech is more of a courtesy/tradition than a requirement?

Somehow I don't think Trump is capable of admitting defeat.

I full expect the election will be officially announced before midnight, eastern standard time. Trump should be engulfed in fury fumes of denial, even earlier.
