MSNBC vs. CNN

For the longest time I would watch MSNBC exclusively to get my news and information. I've always liked their hosts. Especially Chris Hayes and Joy.

Lately I've been clicking over to CNN during commercials to catch their take on the headlines. I wasn't familiar with their lineup (other than Anderson Cooper). I began to notice that they were a little more direct in asking follow-up questions, particularly when they were interviewing Trump surrogates. They seemed to turn up the heat right after Trump's fake press conference that was really a tour of his new hotel. You all remember that episode where Trump pulled a fast one on the press.

While all of the cable news outlets were pretty pissed off, it seemed like CNN decided to take a different approach to all things Trump. They seem less tolerant of the bullshit coming from the Trump campaign.

I have found myself slowly switching my primary viewing from MSNBC to CNN. I still watch my favorite hosts from MSNBC, but I'm beginning to appreciate the fact that CNN wants to actually do some journalism.

Has anyone else been switching to CNN lately? If not, you should give them another look. It's refreshing to watch interviews where at least some attempt is being made to hold surrogate's feet to the fire.

surrogates on their propaganda.

And much to their collective credit, they seem to hold Kristina Pierson's feet to the fire in particular. And certainly she is as deranged and mendacious a surrogate as could be found.

I'm no fan of the media in general, but there's been something of a sea change with the Trump surrogates.

...CNN & MSNBC are doing more of that, with Tamron Hall and Joy Reid stepping up on MSNBC. Others, are, too. Chris Matthews does, but not to Kellyanne! I switch back and forth, too. One big reason is that CNN actually does more news - MSNBC will often switch to reruns and prison shows. At least they stopped running the "naked child predator" story. There are times when CNN and MSNBC do "original programming" which is not news and I do switch to FOX. They are awful. I think 24-hour news means you should be able to turn them on at any time and get live news.

Erin Burnett and then followed by Anderson Cooper yesterday was MAJOR Trump smackdown!

I'd been pleasantly surprised. Now with (an unwilling) change in cable plan, I now get more channels, including MSNBC. I was pleased to be able to watch L. O'Donnell last night, but overall, I have to agree. MSNBC has really sold out...

I think it may be Brooke Baldwin. I'm still not familiar with all the names, but one of the women in the daytime won't let the jerks get away with b.s.

Cable corporations are losing customers because of them.
