(82,383 posts)maybe he buys into Don the Con's claims that merely representing him and being known to have done so is worth zillions to one's business?

(26,330 posts)I can only imagine the conversation that took place.
Trump: l want you to send a threatening letter to the New York Times.
Lawyer: sir, you are a public figure in the middle of an election we don't have a leg to stand on.
Trump: SEND THE FUCKING LETTER OR I WILL FIRE YOU AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO WRITE IT. THEN ILL FUCKING SUE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe there is a niche market for lawyers representing rich douchebags like him and O'Rielly sending and filing frivolous threat letters.
Hopefully they get paid upfront if they have ANY brains.

(82,383 posts)and also not to file frivolous suits, so it does more harm to lawyer than good. He should have told Don the Con there is no case and refused to send the letter. As it is, he should know he needs to get the fees up front. That is normal for a lawyer and by now should be standard practice for anyone dealing with Don the Con.

(28,341 posts)that said "You're fired!" an an image of the top of this hair on the bottom of the button.
It was 2004. Looked it up, decided he was full of shit, and ignored the email. Wish I would have kept that now, but honestly, I'm one of thousands of people - maybe more - who has received C&D's or other legal threats from that slimeball.
If I still had the button equipment I would sell that sucker again. It's SO much funnier now!

(22,037 posts)In fact, it's ironic to read it again because I recounted it to a friend last night! (I recall we shared a discussion about your experience some time over the last year.) I wish you'd kept the letter, too. It would be great fun and possibly worth some green.
As far as the buttons go, they could sell like hotcakes on November 9th!
