Are the authenticity of the wikileaks emails being verified in any way?

If reporters are just dutifully writing stories about all this stuff being fed to them what's to stop Putin or Assange to have completely forged or altered stuff in there?

So far the only thing I've heard is that some of the emails appear to be forgeries or altered in some way, but nothing firm from anyone.

so most are trying to be careful with them. Podesta is way too busy right now to wade through all those emails. I'm sure Fox is cheerily reading them word for word as gospel.

And Podesta doesn't seem to be disputing
Them.

In reality, none of it makes any difference, they are trivial nonsense.

Assange is going to be up a certain creek without his paddle for backing the losing horse.

I really hope Hillary comes down hard on Trump and Assange for all the crap they're stirring up.

Who is asking us to verify and authenticate stolen private emails?

Stolen, most likely, by foreign agencies interfering in our elections?

Unprecedented.

But Wikileaks has in the past been proven to release altered documents, so no one should take anything at face value.
