(34,138 posts)I don't want the short fingered vulgarian to catch fire. I want him to live so he can see how he has destroyed his brand and the lives of his children and grandchildren. I want him to lose ALL his money and credibility so that he is begging on the street and finally learns to live with less than the people he denigrates.
I'd REALLY love to see him in a threadbare suit on a street corner with a sign that says, "I will insult for food."

(26,292 posts)Particularly from the more rabid and unstable of the Trump supporters. These are people who until recently perceived themselves to be powerless. Now they have someone who they really believe will make them powerful and give them back what they think is THEIR country, and theirs alone. And now that is being yanked away from their grasp. To them, WE are the traitors. I'm concerned about their backlash.
They have guns, lots of guns.

(26,292 posts)Trump supporters scare me. The hard core ones terrify me.

The far right, the far right
See all their guns, See all their guns
The point them at him and at you and at me
Theyre fast on the trigger if you disagree
So look out in case they aim accurately,
Its the far right!

(64 posts)... I was briefly listening to Trump talk at a rally last week. After the polls were going down for him but before the video came out. He was reading a bunch of polls, outliars that showed him ahead. He read a few national and read some state polls one after another showing him ahead to the cheers of the crowd. Then he went into his rant that the election is rigged. So come November there are going to be a lot of angry dangerous fools who truly believe the election was stolen from them. Most of his crowd own guns and by nature are crazy. Watch out.

i think his supporters are a bunch of big talking internet cowboys who are afraid of doing anything more than talking tough...

(34,138 posts)I don't expect Trump to concede even with an electoral college blow out by Hillary Clinton. He will sue every election office in the country that does not show him as a winner in their states. He will try to drag the procedure out as long as possible to de-legitimize Hillary Clinton's victory.
When that doesn't succeed, Trump will try to find something similar to the birther conspiracy to continue the doubts about Madame President Hillary Clinton. Of course his insane deplorables will enjoy this and try to push it as much as Trump does.
The good part of this whole thing is that even if there is still a Republican Congress I doubt that they will want to follow a Trump lead to attempt to impeach Hillary Clinton. That might actually be the one good thing Trump has or ever will do for the country.

(3,813 posts)Gotta love them wacky Republicans! Starting in 1980 with Reagan & minions, through Bill Clinton's interregnum, carrying on enthusiastically with the W. crew, elevating the dazzling Sarah Palin for VPOTUS, cackling at their own obstruction vs. Obama...the straight-up straight-faced Republican powers have worked dirty & long to bring their Party & our country to EXACTLY this point.
The ones who begin to act as if Trump is a shocking stranger suddenly gone wrong are tricky liars who are hanging on to Donald's ticket as long as their silence might gain them a single extra vote for themselves, in trickle-down from the Republicans pulling the lever for Trump & the whole GOP undercard.
Witness their incredible hope that a "good performance" in a debate might rescue their candidate from being himself. Please note: these feckless politicos--in an unbroken arc back to Reagan's 'hero' citizens such as Ollie North--do not say they want Trump to change: they want him to WIN.

(15,438 posts)to its pro-America roots and give the boot to the pro-Putin Alt-Right infesting their Party - a pollutant that's leaked into their so-called 'traditional' Republicans like No-Lips Mitch and Lyin'-Ryan who are, according to M$M, weaker copies of the Alt-Right but who are, in word and deed, completely in line with them to the nth degree.

(1,588 posts)what happens to a nation when politicians and people put party ahead of country. It is necessary for the GOP to be demolished as it currently exists. Only then can it be rebuilt in a less fanatical and demagoguery basis. Unfortunately they do not seem to accept that they directly empowered the piece of human garbage called Trump.

(1,905 posts)I had to go to the VA clinic in East Texas this morning. While I was in clinic office, two rednecks veterans were conversing in the sitting area. One mental giant was spewing out all the known conservanut lies about the Clintons. I'm thinking, how are these f*ckin idiots going to react to tRump's defeat? Many are armed with a head full of conservanut lies. Their only source information comes from Fox Noise or from one of the many conservanut radio programs in East Texas.
This won't be pretty but I will cherish every moment. I don't think this will end the conservanut movement. I think it will only make them more rabid and dangerous.

HRC is going to be given a historic opportunity so I hope that she can take advantage of it.
On the other hand! NO COMPLACENCY! I hope that not even one of us stays home, especially in a battle ground state because they think she has this thing all wrapped up.
