Republican Governors in Las Vegas: Nothing Wrong w/Our Party (Seriously)

Listened to NPR (Morning Edition) on the way to work.

The soul searching was short: we need to find a way to communicate our message better, and stop calling people names (promptly followed by one of them explaining that the 20-somethings are "lazy" and "like to live in their parents' basements&quot .

I wavered between disgusted and amused. They don't get it. They just don't get it - but, honestly, as long as we can keep the election fraud to a minimum, it is a recipe for success for our side, I guess.

But the fact they got WHOMPED on this election, and don't think they've done anything wrong (except they need to get a more articulate candidate to explain their bat-shit crazy lunatic nonsense) is terrifying.

The money is going to keep rolling in - the bazillionaires seem to have reassured them that as long as they keep delivering, they don't have to worry about their money spouts turning off, and the ignorant bases will continue to support them against the Irresponsible-Just-Keep-Voting-for-Social-Issues Democrats.

As I said, the soul searching was short, the bubble was repaired, and it is back to business as usual. After all, there are 30 Republican Governors all standing around telling each other "Romney was Weak" - which really translates to "One of Us Could Be President in 2016! Let Me Show You Why It Should Be ME!!!"

I think I'm going to settle on TERRIFIED. It isn't their policies (in their eyes); just how they express them. "Legitimate Rape" needs a new explanation, so then it will be good in the eyes of the Voters?

ON EDIT: Fixed smilie icon - also, they really believe in their "CORE VALUES!" Made me want to throw up a little...

No problem! We found some new voters in our old base.

They will soon be seen as a minor political group, the M$M will even have to give up on them eventually.

they have to meet our terms if they want our votes, just like Obama. That is the way Business works. We just want our share of the profits. This is simple. Boehner and McConnell just don't get it. They will end up like Mitt.

They are true believers to their Ann Rynd philosophy. You find them in every political or religious movement. No matter how much evidence you present to them they ignore and stick to their guns. This will mark the end of their party. True believers are always a minority and can not be persuaded to see reality.
They will just want to photoshop their agenda and hope that it works, but their true beliefs will not change.
Also their is tons of money available to push their 1% agenda.

Yeah, I was listening to the same program this morning. No matter how awful the R's look, they insist it's just the presentation, the framing, not actually due to the fact that their "values" really are just plain awful.

Is that there are 30 of them. Why not begin a campaign to target and defeat Republican Governors ?

And the Democrats did maintain some governor's seats in red states (WV, MO).

Next year we have an opportunity to pick up two. Keep these names in mind--- Terry McAuliffe and Cory Booker.
