Or they want HRC to be forced to stay on, so that

1)they can keep appealing to Clinton haters

2)she will keep Obama's foreign policy as hawkish as possible.

I believe he got the most money, then ran a really juvenile campaign and got beat handily. I think the people of MA have had enough of him.

tonight laying out this exact scenario. He called Graham and McCain liars for completely mishandling what Ms. Rice had said.
He also pointed to the hypocrisy they showed by confirming Condoleeza Rice for SoS after lying about WMD's.
It was a fabulous segment.

So I agree with you as well. I guess this means McCain owes the nation an apology for having a dumb-as-dirt VP candidate one heartbeat away from the launch codes, right?

...the investigation into 9/11, and it's the Presidential Daily Brief of August 6, 2001, the one labeled "Bin Laden determined to attack in the U.S." I seem to recall a tense moment when one lawmaker confronted Rice on this, though I don't have a transcript to hand.

Following that PDB, thousands died. Thousands.

which would have the same effect. Frankly I think that there are plenty of seats that they would have a better shot at than that one. but there aren't too many in states with Democratic governors which are the only ones Obama is likely to consider.

Why not leave the Senate alone for now since we just got all these people elected, and also leave the Governors alone since the Democratic Governors are outweighed by the number of Republican Governors right now?

Someone who is a former elected official or military executive can be chosen.
