Gallup and Rasmussen fell on their faces on election day. Why do people still trust them for Obama's approval numbers?

(3,696 posts)This fact always made me suspicious of their head to head numbers between the 2 for president. A fact that was apparently lost on repubs who accepted the race numbers as accurate.

(25,415 posts)It was their LV model that was wrong. The approval ratings have always been done surveying all adults. I think the approval is pretty accurate. The LV poll #'s were atrocious.
