2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumIt wasn't Pence Vs Kaine, it was Pence Vs Trump
Best as I can see from reading the morning twitter and news, the narrative that emerges seems to be that Pence outclassed Trump (not Kaine) and that Republicans are pining for Pence to be at the top of the ticket. If that does not make Trump angry, I'm not sure what does...

The second narrative that has emerged is that Pence was shooting for 2020 and proposing his own ideas and that he did not and could not defend any of Trump's own words. He was given multiple chances to defend, and he did not. In addition, he actually went ahead and denied that Trump has used those words, and termed those quotes "insulting". This does not instill confidence that Pence thinks their ticket would win.
Finally, all those lies and head shaking are captured and you can bet Hillary's team will have an ad in no time with Trump and Pence saying those exact same things on one side and Pence denying/shaking head of other side.
Not sure what good pence did. And oh FINALLY - It's rich of Chris Matthews to say Kaine was obnoxious with his interruptions. Has he even watched his own show, like, EVER?
