Kaine is a DAMN GOOD CHOICE, and he did fine in the debate. He trapped Pence in LIE upon LIE. RBInMaine Oct 2016 #1
Let's not re-hash this. It's a dead horse. Kaine did fine, and we have a GREAT ticket. RBInMaine Oct 2016 #2

They take all such opportunities. If there is a day filled with good news, the concerned search for the one story that is negative. Such folks should consider the horror that a Trump president would unleash...the primary is over. Leave it behind.

And Sen. Warren would have been a fantastic VP...Bernie too. But Kaine is the better choice for the election. He comes from an important swing state. He is a good guy. This is just primary-flu...their guy lost. The primary is over folks.

and they'd immediately poll "independent, undecided" voters who'd claim that Pence did better.

And given that she'll be over 70 by the next election cycle, I sincerely doubt she ever will.

Too bad, so sad.

Wrong, VP debates are meaningless. Kaine is from Virginia which is huge for us and he is a good guy-popular in his state. And I don't believe two women would have worked ...and I am a woman. We have those liberals who are not primary obsessed...and Warren would not have added to that tally in my opinion...so appealing to swing voters and yes some Republicans this year is also helping us. Kaine is perfect for this job. Kaine did fine...he did his job. Pence lied through his teeth and will face some negative press and ads for this. Overall, the debate was fine and Kaine is a good choice.

Warren would win a debate with anyone in this country, esp a Trump lackey. All I was saying. And yes, I know how old she is. You guys are so thin-skinned. Toughen up. We are on the same team. We don't eat our own. Emulate our candidate Hillary Clinton.

You are sure that you know precisely that Warren "would have wiped the floor with any Tump VP dope."

Senator Warren is a great senator and an amazing speaker with a lot of passion for her issues of economic justice. She is doing and will continue to do her part to fight for the economically disadvantaged. My question is, "Why did you feel it necessary to make your statement in the first place since Warren is not in any position to debate the VP?"

A lot of people here are criticizing and casting aspersions, but I am genuinely curious as to what your motivation was to make the statement given the reality of the current race.

Care to answer?

Can we stop pretending that she's some infallible goddess who would have the desired outcome in "X" situation had she been there? Pence was operating as if the facts didn't matter and that would be a tough situation for anyone, including Senator Warren.

... even a bit shaky.

I have no doubt she is a good debater.

However, Kaine did exactly what needed to be done. He won on substance and setup Hillary for Sunday night.

With the Hurricane, this debate is old news in the next 12 hrs.

Elizabeth Warren would have electrified the campaign (and wiped the floor with Pense).

I've tried to warm to Kaine. Hasn't worked.
