If you can't defend anything your running mate has said, you didn't win the debate.

The ads pretty much write themselves. Kaine pressed Pence to defend Trump and he couldn't or was totally unwilling to. When your own VP choice can't make a good case for why you should be president, then you clearly shouldn't be the fucking president.

On the other hand, Kaine didn't give the Trump campaign anything to work with. His job was to build up Hillary Clinton and he accomplished that.

But it's always style over substance with the mainstream media, unfortunately.

People are saying Pence won based purely on style and ignoring substance. We're fucked as a country if style is all that matters now.

Tomorrow it will be all sliced up into sound bites and Kaine will look better and better. I think Pence surprised people because he looked great compared to Deplorable Donald. But that will wear off. Kaine had all his facts straight and was a good advocate for Hillary. Pence not so much good for Trump!

to get the exact wording. Just got to it as I was typing here, around -6:00 in the full livestream, at 2:20:12.

".. and, you know, so his words don't always come out exactly the way he means them."

And what we see is that his religion is what dictates what policy would be. He would not go to the question and show that he will act as a politician in public interest rather than have his religion dictate what the public interest is. He did not acknowledge that law overrides his religion.

Especially because I've waited years to see a democrat dish out hurt on these shameless clueless repubs. Pence was meek and passive and couldn't think beyond his rehearsed lines. His zingers fell flat and he was uninspiring.

Kaine could press him on defending Donald and Pence couldn't answer because he had no scripted answer.

Kaine delivered!

Pense did not explain or defend his position of saying "Donald Trump did not say or do this or that" at all. Pense just said,"na" "na" "na" "na" "na" "I can not hear you!" "La" "la" "la" "la" "la" "la"
