I remember the 1990s well.

My friends and I had to wrap newspapers around our feet to walk 10 miles to buy the latest Smashing Pumpkins album.

We then huddled around to watch Seinfeld while we slurped our soup kitchen meal.

Why did you think they called it Grunge, people? You think people really wanted to wear raggy clothes and dirty hair?

I could buy a pack of cigarettes for 25 cents by faking "a note from my mom."
I had to watch The Mickey Mouse Club on a 6-inch black and white TV screen. And it took 3 or 4 minutes for the set to "warm up" after turning it on.
I had to walk to school, two miles through the snow, and it was uphill. Both ways.
THEM was the latest thing in high-tech sci-fi special effects.
