A blockbuster New York Times story revealed that Trump probably did not pay federal income taxes for two decades or longer.

Trump’s lawyers threatened to sue the New York Times if they published the story. But now that it’s out neither Trump nor his campaign are denying its premise.

Taxes are a subject Trump weighs in on frequently on Twitter. Now that more is known about Trump’s taxes, these tweets seem ill advised.

Who knew he was talking about himself there. Then again, he is his own favorite topic.

It's about time all this stuff on Trump starts coming out and getting big media attention. Hats off to Newsweek, Wapo and others who are doing the hard work of finding and exposing this stuff. Sort of makes you want to subscribe (to the online versions). I guess this is not the kind of investigative journalism that leads to Pulitzers probably -- but it would be great if it did.
