Never Mind: Wikileaks Cancels Big Clinton-Related Announcement Amid Security Concerns

by Lindsey Ellefson | 3:45 pm, October 2nd, 2016

Well, whatever big, mysterious, literal October surprise Roger Stone and Wikileaks were planning has been postponed.

Earlier today, we reported that Stone had tweeted something about Hillary Clinton‘s inevitable demise at the hands of Wikileaks. It mentioned that the big shocker was coming Wednesday, but we are hearing now that a big announcement planned for Tuesday has been canceled.

@JesseRodriguez

Due to security concerns at the Ecuadorian Embassy, Julian Assange's balcony announcement on Tues has been cancelled, per @wikileaks

It appears that the announcement Stone touted and the one Wikileaks canceled are one in the same and Stone simply meant that after Tuesday’s announcement, Clinton would be “done” on Wednesday. The reveal of whatever was so sure to end her political career has been halted for the time being.

and back track to their servers? Is there something in the dump that will actually lead the anti-hackers back to them. They have been getting better and better at identifying the location of sources.

And now Roger Stone -a loser by the very definition of the word- is forever associated with Wikileaks, an organization of losers.

A gaggle of buffoons.

Mostly Sanders supporters that were never going to vote for Clinton or Trump anyway. And all it was is that a few mid-level staffers at the DNC said in a couple of emails that they didn't particularly care for Sanders' campaign. Everything they have released since then has ranged between "meh" and "even fox news didn't care".

russian/european nationalists/gop/roger stone whoever trying to effect the election have every incentive to hack into systems and steal regular/innocuous documents, then forge them to make it look like scandal, then dump them onto wikileaks or elsewhere. such forgeries have occured numerous times in the past.

this is why i think i was a big mistake for H/Dems to have capitulated re the DWS email thing. They should've pushed back and questioned the authenticity instead of accepting it as real, because now the media/gop/trump are going to be empowered by any wikileak etc type dumps.

only helped to give credibility to Wikileaks and other hack/dump type organizations.

Dems/H should've pushed back/questioned authenticity and motivations, while removing DWS (if they decided to do so) later on and cited other reasons for it.

Instead they set themselves up for more of Assange/Russians ratmucking.

I hope this time Dems/H have a much better response, and push back hard.

They got nothing. The whole "she's as bad as the orange turd" narrative is coming to an end (except in the minds of the most strident deplorables whose education levels are less than that of a 5th grader). I honestly believe that MSM has finally realized their complicity in possibly getting Trumpenstein elected and the country burning to the ground with that possibility. The tables have rightfully turned and the pitchforks are aimed in the direction they should have always been pointed. Hillary simply doesn't have the baggage Trump does, not so much as a centimeter. Where there's smoke, there's fire. At this point, Wikileaks has nothing but soggy wet timber and matches.

Assange knows that what he has is pretty weak. The leak of the tax records is BIG news and is likely to dominate coverage for the next couple of days. He knows is weak-sauce "announcement" would get the "meh" treatment. He wants to wait for a quiet news cycle to ensure Trump surrogates have the best chance to really make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Basically what I fathom has happened: they have a huge trove of emails from (mostly) the DNC and thought they could dig up something scandalous over the last few months. But they've mostly found the kind of office sniping and innuendo you often see in workplace email.

Rather than embarrass himself in a big public setting, Assange is dialing it back.

That she said in a meeting in 2010 to drone Julian. And everyone laughed after.

She might have said some off hand joke she didn't mean, but they are blowing it up like she purposely would do it.

If she did make such a joke it would explain why he has been so out to get her in the face of how awful Trump is.
