I'm rubber, you are glue.
He thinks if HE says it, it becomes gospel and no one can fact check for themselves his statements.

Else You Are Mad
(3,040 posts)This is the first time in nearly 70 years that Trump has ever been called out on his bullshit. His whole life, Trump has been surrounded by sycophant yes men. So, he is used to defining what reality is. Even during the primary race the media bent over backwards to accommodate his version of reality. For the first time in his life, he is actually being questioned and his lies are being publicly called out. It is a shock to his spoiled brat system.
Too bad he wasn't being called out like this when he first announced.

(42,641 posts)Lying is his default choice in every situation. But Trump has told so many lies that actual media scrutiny makes it impossible for him to reconcile his many versions of reality with the truth.
But Trump really is a media creation and the media profits from him. A symbiotic relationship.
Else You Are Mad
(3,040 posts)The only reason Trump is the nominee and not Cruz, Rubio or Bush is because he made -- and continues to make -- the media more money than all of the other GOP candidates combined.

A pathetic indictment of American business philosophy.
