Bernie didn't take Jake Tapper's (CNN) bait about Hillary's comments regarding Sander's supporters. (Original Post) MoonRiver Oct 2016 OP

He said greedy behavior by billionaires, not paying taxes, but demanding the middle class take care of infrastructure, schools etc., with THEIR taxes, is how Rump and his ilk operate. Go Bernie!

Unlike many I never much liked Bernie at first because his plans seemed unrealistic (unworkable) and hence misleading. However when he made the clever wisecrack during the primary debate about being tired of hearing about Hillary's emails, my opinion of him shot up, because he was keeping the focus on issues and being intellectually honest, enthusiastically avoiding pettiness, being fair and honest. Now that I see him going all-in to support Hillary, he no longer seems unrealistic and impractical, because he is taking the only good way forward to implement as much as possible of his progressive agenda; he's being practical in pursuit of the goals.

Some people (aka die-hard Bernie "supporters&quot refuse to take practical steps to move forward on the agenda they claim to support. They want all or nothing, and they can't have it all so they're putting their efforts into backing the nothing option, that is, no progressive goals whatsoever, just let Trump win and destroy everything Bernie and others have worked for. It's just disappointing (and dishonest) that they don't support Bernie now, when he is actually making practical realistic progress towards implementing as much as possible of the progressive agenda.

Bernie brings a lot to the fight. I'm glad he's on our side: stronger together. He has accomplished much. Most obviously he got Hillary and the Dem platform to turn against the TPP -- a major accomplishment. (Whether you like the TPP or dislike it, you have to acknowledge that Sanders accomplished something big there.) His quick wit, intellectual depth, honesty and energy are a tremendous asset on the side of right vs wrong.

He's made it clear that he intends to keep it up, to carry on the fight with the same enthusiasm and commitment he has exhibited throughout his campaign, fighting for every inch of the battlefield.

It would be nice if the stragglers among his previous followers could wake up and re-engage in this important fight for human rights and for the future of America. Bernie still needs those supporters behind him. If you trusted his judgment before, trust him again now. He knows what he's doing, and he's doing the right thing.
