Just checked and Peter Kiernan's fundraising campaign has passed the $1,000,000 mark!
For those of you not familiar, Peter Kiernan is an ex-Marine Raider who served in Afghanistan. He doesn't particularly care for the fact that Mr. Trump says that he doesn't pay Federal Income Tax. He wanted to pressure Trump to release his returns, but he didn't want Trump to benefit from the pressure. So, he came up with the idea of setting up a crowdfunding operation where all pledged money would be given to various Veteran charities, but only when Trump released his returns. His idea got a big boost when Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, offered a matching pledge of 5 to 1. For every dollar pledged, Hoffman would pledge $5.00 up to a total pledge of $5 million. Peter raised his goal to $1 million. And today they surpassed the $1 million mark and Hoffman pledged his $5 million. So, there is $6 million that will go to vets in need IF Trump releases his returns before the third Presidential debate.
