afford to jeopardize that seat with our razor thin majority in the Senate. I'm sorry, but I think Gen. Clark would probably be an asset as Sec of Def. Whether he could make it through a confirmation hearing is anyone's guess.

In 2004 I worked in his Presidential campaign and met him and his lovely wife. Two of the best Americans on the planet.

positions available. Not sure whether it would be with the CIA, but Obama is going to need
someone loyal and brilliantly capable of guiding us out of Afganistan without creating a new
war to take it's place and keep the MIC operating without anything interfering in moving from
one war theater to the next.

Blindsiding the President by the various dept's involved is dangerous and undermines the executive office.
General Clark would have Obama's back and I personally don't feel anyone else does from these
involved parties. They didn't expect him to win. By doing so, they are scrambling to cover something
else that was planned. IMHO.

The CIA has become so embedded in the theatres of war that I would rather we had someone trustworthy and loyal to the U.S. If not a neocon himself, Petreus was definitely on their side of the fence.

Additionally, I don't like the roll that Black Ops has assumed in replacing the US Armed Forces. I know they are politically loyal to the repubs and they are escalating the costs of national defense. The Navy Seals and the Green Berets are in it for love of country. The civilian Black Ops are in it for money.

I would trust Clark or someone like him in charge of CIA. With an emphasis on defending contractors and turning that role back over to the military.
