Related: About this forumBrutal ‘My temperament’ ad hits Trump hard on his lack of self-control
A new 30-second campaign ad from pro-Clinton PAC Priorities USA zings Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on his laughable insistence during Monday nights debate that his temperament is his greatest asset.
I think my strongest asset maybe be far, said Trump at Hofstra University, is my temperament.
The ad goes on to show clip after clip of Trump losing his cool, talking about how hed like to punch protesters in the face, bombing the sh*t out of ISIS and shooting people on Fifth Avenue.
Donald Trump, the ad concludes. Unfit to be president.

(3,765 posts)as a voter in a very red state, I might not consider you voting for a third party candidate throwing away my vote.
But this time there is too much to lose and I've been hearing that it might actually be close here in Texas. I would kick myself if Hillary lost by 1% in Texas and I voted for the third party candidate.

(81,440 posts)You DO NOT see flying fists and Wrestlemania behavior and displays of anger, bullying, belligerence, aggression, and sometimes outright violence at ANY Hillary rallies. You never saw that at Bernie rallies, either, OR rallies for ANYBODY else on our side of the aisle. You never see or hear ANYBODY on our side of the aisle insinuate that the way to beat the opponent is to put him/her at risk of being shot & killed. Not EVER. Not at ANY time as far back as I can remember, watching presidential politics and election seasons. That's just not who or what we are, on our side of the aisle.
I'm sorry, but that IS who THEY are. That's why I didn't have any problem with Hillary's "deplorables" comment. She was right on that score, too.

MyOwnPeace
(16,937 posts)like Drumpf does, they would not "expect to be fired" - they would think that they have that very right to think, act, and talk that way!
That's why they love him - he can get away with it and they would love to do the same!
THAT is why he cannot win - we must NOT allow him to win - we need to GOTV - big time!!!!

After the debate last night, I am expecting to see HRC's numbers begin to rise again.

(8,965 posts)The ones that might have been reassured to some extent by "Teleprompter Trump", but could be persuaded to go either way between now and election day. For that group, clips like this one will put Trump in a very unfavorable light. Coming fresh off the heels of the debate, I would consider this to be a very effective ad. Will be eager to see how Trump's "because I'm smart" and "that's business" remarks play into future ads.

(81,440 posts)Andrea Mitchell, of ALL people, singled that out as a negative on his scoreboard. She got right to that point last night, the first time they went to her out in the field. She of course began by carrying on a little about the first 30 minutes or so when he did - well - shall we say not so bad, before he "ran outta gas," as GOP analyst Steve Schmidt repeatedly noted. That was his characterization of how Trump did, over the course of the debate. And he added "babbling," and "incoherent," too, and more than once for each of those descriptions. But after a couple of sentences on that, she went full-on about how badly he did, how many times he interrupted, and how Hillary held up well.
Even Andrea Mitchell. He stunk up the joint too bad even for Andrea Mitchell. She COULD NOT HELP comparing Hillary favorably to Trump. Just couldn't help it. It was PROFOUNDLY unavoidable. Even for her.

(9,135 posts).... is what our three local city council dudes do to the two women council members. And to the city. They just want to develop the place.
I wonder if this is common behavior of real estate developers. They get reelected because some want new development and some just like treating women badly. That's what they did in the 60's. (been watching 'Mad Men' on Netflix. Better than MSNBC for this campaign).

(12,164 posts)I was afraid we were all setting ourselves up for a big disappointment when Trump didn't live down to our low expectations. I didn't expect him to go to the trouble of actually learning anything for the debate. But I figured his handlers would make sure he was adequately coached and sedated to get through 90 minutes without looking like a complete ass. "Surely he's had to pretend to be a normal human being for at least a little while on occasion," I thought.
Wrong! The guy truly is incapable of even acting like anything but a raging asshole, even with the highest stakes he's ever had. It was bizarre to watch, and if I hadn't seen it in real time, nothing I've seen or heard in today's media "coverage" would have conveyed the degree to which Hillary so effectively eviscerated him. Nor would I have imagined the jaw-dropping spectacle of his compulsive self-destructive impulse, exacerbated by completely groundless self confidence.
I certainly hope Trump continues to trust his gut and stay on course.
