I posted this exact post on my kids Facebook page this morning. I have 3 children all of whom

are college educated Millennials. One lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. One lives in Atlanta, GA and one lives in California as I do. All of them are very popular, have lots of friends and close contacts on Facebook. I posted the following post with a link to the NY Times Editorial endorsing Hillary which is supposed to be in the Sunday newspaper but it was on-line today (Saturday morning). The link came with a photo of Hillary which was good for me since I'm not that good with posting and embedding photos. The rest of the post below are my words. I have a very close relationship with all my grown children so I posted my comments since I know that they get a lot of traffic on their Facebook pages. I'm recommending that the people here at DU do the same. The NY Times Editorial was very well written and I didn't have to come up a whole list of my own set of reasons for why they should vote for Hillary, since I know my kids are not as politically astute as I am. I would suggest that those of you who have children of voting age who are Millennials do the same. I tried to keep my comments clean and simple as two of my kids are in technically red states (both battleground states) and I didn't want to say anything that may be offensive to any of their friends who may be of that other party. My kids were excited to be able to vote for Barack Obama twice, and they all got involved with helping their friends get registered and then had "I Voted" parties that evening while they waiting for voting results to come in. I asked them if they were going to do it again, and they said that they hadn't thought about it, but by the time we got off the phone, they were all excited about it. Nothing like a party to get young people excited about voting. I would like to suggest that those of you who have Millennials who may be fence sitters or have friends who are fence sitters about this election to post this NY Times Editorial on their facebook page and have a conversation with them to make sure that they are currently registered and will be voting on Nov. 8. FTR, I talk to my kids all the time, so I really was using their Facebook page to reach out to their friends without seeming pushy and intrusive. So far the responses from their friends have been positive. I hope many of you will try it if you have voting age kids who don't live at home.

I'm with Her. http://www.nytimes.com/…/sunday/hillary-clinton-for-preside…
Hey Kenny. Just wanted to pass this on to you and some of your friends. We have an important election coming up soon, and the media says that your generation, the Millennials, just aren't interested so they're sitting it out. I assure you that there are important things at stake, and this is not the time to be passive. Your generation cannot afford to sit on the sidelines. Please read the linked NY Times Opinion. It is a very good piece and you and your friends need to know what I already know. There is only one choice for President on November 8 and that is Hillary Clinton. You've trusted me for the past 27 years and I've never led you astray. There is only one candidate who is uniquely qualified to occupy the office of President of the United States on day one. The office of the POTUS is the most powerful position in the world. We have to be able to have confidence in the words uttered by our President. We have that confidence in our current President, Barrack Obama. We will have that confidence in Hillary Clinton. We don't have that confidence in the reality TV star Candidate who lives in his own reality. The State of Nevada will play a major role in deciding who our next President will be. It's time to get off the fence and get busy talking among yourselves and make sure that you Vote on Nov 8 and tell all your friends as well. America is already great. That's why I'm with Her. Hillary 2016
Hillary Clinton for President
Our endorsement is rooted in respect for her intellect, experience and courage.

But I have to wonder what on earth has happened to Gens X and Y. Are they all being held in an internment camp?

No one gives a shit about Gen X except Gen X'ers apparently. They never even bothered to give them a proper generation name. X'ers are alive and well, but apparently irrelevant because of low population numbers, even though the X'ers are the ones raising children today (along with some of the older Millenials). Who gives a shit about families right? We only care about the young adults and the retirees it seems.
