I'm sure Hillary's people are worried as hell.

And we should always be worried given the news media... but I think at the end of the day, it won't change much.

Bill Maher pointed out "it will be like debating a basset hound."

Everyone will be amazed if Trump doesn't shit on the floor!

Judging from Hillary's primary debates - where the two candidates agreed on almost everything! - I expect piles of Trump poop everywhere!

Bad dog!

11. Define what you mean by "win"

There's no question that Clinton will "win" the debate in terms of intellectual argument. That's a given and I'm not the least bit worried that Clinton will show herself to be stupid or uninformed.

What I'm very worried about is that her win will come at the expense of votes, which is an empty victory. The debates are incredibly risky in the emotional reactions to her character. Clinton is on very thin ground and the slightest misstep in tone can be incredibly damaging.

The debates can't help Clinton. Everyone already knows Trump is a bombastic bag of hot air. No one is voting for him because they think he is more experience or knowledgable than Clinton; no one who values those qualities is voting for Trump. The best Clinton can hope for is to keep her current position.

The worst that can happen is that she will come off as arrogant or snide and further erode her likability among thin-skinned white men. It's an unfair, misogynistic perspective, but it's what she's up against.

On the same stage with him, she will appear presidential, confident, knowledgeable, and trustworthy, much more so than the amateur one-trick celebrity.

He will remain a TV character - she will appear as the next President of the United States.

Her poll numbers will soar while his decline.

That's how I define "win."

Trump would not have been involved in a single presidential debate, much less one at this level. The fact that so many Americans see this rude, crude, pompous, racist, misogynist bully as presidential is simply mortifying.

The bar is set so low for him and so high for HRC, the media at the very least will call it a draw. Hopefully, informed, rational people will be able to see the stark difference in experience, qualifications, and presidential demeanor to realize that he is a chump of the highest order regardless of what the media has to say.

Trump is a crackpot who had been given a pass by the M$M. They are increasingly ashamed of their behavior and his manipulation.

He is about to get exposed on a national stage for all the world to see.

For the media, it's not just about H anymore.

My only nagging concern is that Ailes is concocting a big "zinger" for trump and that will be all over the news the next day. Not how stupid he is, but how he got off that great one-liner. Our media is so shallow and vacuous.

How the media spins the debate is another story altogether, but I am expecting such a crushing defeat that the media won't be able to spin it in Trump's favor.

She's got to bruise his ego then she'll have him where she wants him. Anything he learned during debate prep will go out the window.

very few watching are undecided or will change their minds because of something that is said on the stage. Hillary is ahead, so she just needs to stay the course. Trump will say something stupid which his groupies will ignore.

The biggest issue for Trump now are the potential investigations: rape, Russians, foundations, pay-offs, etc. Some of those might actually turn votes away from Trump. If any are brought up at the debate it will help.

Hillary's challenge is to GOTV. Early voting has already started, and more starts have voting by mail than ever. The GOP is attacking the voter roles. There is no economic crisis or international crisis or attack on SS that seems to be getting people excited. Hopefully, Trump is so bad that he will be considered enough of a crisis to get people to the polls.

How'd that work out?

And the birthers/baggers/racists have only grown stronger under Trump's tutelage. There is an even larger segment today that would only watch the debate for the one line zingers and insults their dear leader will hurl and the evil banshee. Doesn't matter if he does that by interrupting, or speaking out of turn, not addressing the topic asked....nothing. And Trump knows this. He doesn't have to prepare, other than memorize a few new slogans and talking points. His supporters only want to see him bullying her all night. That would be a success for them. And if Hillary shows any signs of frustration with him, shows any hint that he is getting under her skin....he may come out as the 'winner' by the MSM.
