Prediction: Trump doesn't get the "exceeds basement level expectations" bump Palin did.
Remember in 2008 when they had the Vice Presidential debate and Palin came out all folksy on stage and went up to Joe Biden and said "Can I call you Joe?"
And the rest of the night she was vague yet unoffensive and wasn't the complete trainwreck people expected? She basically convinced pundits that the debate was a draw even though Biden was clearly more informed on everything.
I don't think Trump's going to manage that. He's less malleable than even Palin was and can't come off as folksy. Palin was more delusional than maniacal as Trump is.
My prediction is an unscripted, out of his league Trump is going to be truly awful.
