Don Lemon just called out the media for their False Equivalency bias.

Finally, a news anchor on national TV made the point that I've been saying all these years.

Don Lemon said, and I'm paraphrasing as best I can: "The media has a bias toward false equivalency. If Trump tells a lie one day, we have to go hunting for a lie Hillary told in order to appear balanced, but then she didn't tell a lie that day, but we go with it anyway."

It was something to that effect. I was stunned because it is so true. Sometimes, both sides don't have equal points, both sides aren't right, and there aren't two sides to the story.

If news anchors had behaved like this for the last three months, maybe Trump wouldn't be up in half the damn polls by now.

this season, at least. Don Lemon is apparently an exception and is doing a better job. For awhile, I quit turning to CNN, b/c I sometimes couldn't tell much difference between them and fox. But recently, I accidentally discovered (thru othet sources referring to CNN) that CNN was getting back on track w/ election coverage. They're still MSM.

The Trump surrogates can be annoying but they DO get called out when they lie for the most part. CNN is going a bit harder since Trump's hotel infomercial stunt, too.

The entire broadcast media is awash with knee-bending careerists who couldn't spell journalism if you spotted them the consonants. American news is horrible, has generally been horrible, and is not getting any better. We've been subjected to decades of crap. Never mind that Nixon committed treason, as did Raygun and Daddy Bush. How many dead in Iraq from American bombs and bullets? Real news is never produced, only the spin of the day. Case in point - when is the last time we heard anything about this planet's largest and still unfolding nuclear disaster - Fukushima?

We're all just trained to live the life of low expectations when it comes to news media.

I am very familiar with what is on the network. I've been watching CNN for all political coverage since the primaries began. They are not shills for EITHER candidate, which means they are more balanced than pretty much any other network. I do NOT trust ANY news source that is only favorable to one candidate, even if it is the candidate I plan on voting for.

He isn't perfect, but he's better than most... imho.

CNN definitely "tries" to be unbiased, but they try too hard... they end up pushing false equivalencies all the time. They want, so very badly, to appear unbiased, that they sometimes become biased in their attempts.
