It'll be nice if this state can find it's way back from the hard-right turn its taken. I really hope women in particular are waking up to what the monsters in Richmond think of them.

The employment rate is high in VA, thanks to the stimulus. My governor, Martin O'Malley, really took it to McDonnell in the last two confrontations between the two governors. Employment in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area is high not because of McDonnell but because there is a huge percentage of federal and state government employees in this area who are incredibly well educated and high earners. That's what is helping the economy in this area.

Loudon County, VA is the wealthiest in the country, followed by Montgomery County, MD where I live. McDonnell can't take credit for that!

the northern section of the state, the state is more like the deep south. They have huge mega-churches, and lots and lots of Fundies. And they are stuck in 1859.
