Andrea Mitchell must have incredibility low ratings

I don't watch her and I can't imagine that many others on the left do either. It's also a given that the Rs don't watch MSNBC. That leaves Mr. Greenspan and I'll bet he gets tired of listening to her as well!

times I watch is to see how she's taking some good news about Hillary. (She has a history of letting it all hang out )

Once, since I considered that, instead of just as expected horribly depressed by Hillary's nomination, her behavior suggested she could have been seriously ill during the convention -- dying of cancer or something? (actually, rather seriously, she was that "struggling&quot , I tuned in to see if she was okay. She'd recovered enough to do her show.

Rotten woman, but rather literally because she's even older than I am. She never had the thighs for Fox, though, and no doubt that disqualified her long ago.

"Fucking hack" summarizes her pretty well right at the beginning, though.

"Only Andrea Mitchell could sneak in a Hillary Clinton diss when talking about the bombing suspect." I disagree only because others will also, but, certainly, in a very uncertain world she's completely predictable.

how she got "tenure" that somehow MSNBC keeps her on air.

She is hands down the worst, BY FAR, on air person in cable news.

A very dour personality and presence, sputters and very poor speaker.

SERIOUS intellectual lightweight.

They put her into the worst time spot, but even at that you would think they would try someone who has more talent to get experience and maybe see if they could pop.

Not even factoring in her transparent partisanship, I just don't get why they put her on the air.

an in crowd, an incestuous mix of people like her, DC social elites, SOME elected people from around the nation, wealthy interventionists, journalists, jurists, high-level lobbyists, and so on, for whom being in the inner circle and remaining in DC became more important than whatever goals or ideals they once had.

Mitchell is something of a queen in those circles. She's extremely well connected, not that we benefit from it. All she passes on is the spin she wants her audience to soak in.

Andrea see Hillary's survival as an affront to their importance. They've been trying to take her down for decades now but have never succeeded.

Seriously, if I had no other reason to vote for Hillary (and I do!), I'd at least want to vote for her to disappoint and kick them in their teeth. Such egregious behavior needs to result in failure.

WE are the people. We need to act like it.

Status within the Cocktail Circuit in D.C.. She still thinks of herself as a spokes person for the Neo-Con Narrative, and the Cocktail Circuit loves to rub elbows with these so called experts.

I tried to give her some credit for a while but she is really biased and really hopeless intellectually.

A real PITA.

Said up close her skin is really bad, really scarred up, and that when she realized he recognized her, she scowled at him. Other celebrities he has met on flights have been unfailingly nice to him, except her. So I thought, yeah, she is just as unpleasant in real life as she is on TV.

In any other timeslot, she'd be pretty challenged to get ratings.

MSNBC needs more Joy, morning noon and night.

" Have you spoken with Mr. Trump directly?

I met him back in the early nineties at some gatherings, both social and business related. But I haven’t spoken directly with him since he’s been a candidate. I have been communicating through [Trump national finance chair] Steve Mnuchin and [economic advisor] Larry Kudlow. "

"My work on the Soviet Union was an analysis focused on the banking system, and how the banking system in the Soviet system became a way to channel credit to state-owned institutions and state-owned enterprises. And I worry that banks are becoming partners with the state in managing the economy. I’m very uncomfortable with how complicit banks are becoming through the their mandatory membership in the Federal Reserve."

"’m not opposed to a new Bretton Woods conference, and if it takes place at Mar-a-Lago, I’m fine with that. But anything the U.S. does because we print the international reserve currency, unilateral action would almost instantly be accommodated by other countries."

In terms of gold being involved, some people may think of that as a throwback, but I see it as a sophisticated, forward-looking approach because gold is neutral and it’s universal. It’s a well-accepted monetary surrogate that transcends borders and time. If you look at the foreign reserves of the most important countries, they keep them mostly in gold. I don’t want to read too much into it, but it proves that gold is not some barbarous relic.

Would the first step in that be issuing gold-convertible bonds?

Don’t attribute this idea to the Trump campaign, but it has been something that I have been proposing for years now. A gold-backed bond was first proposed in 1981 by Alan Greenspan. I think the U.S. should issue them as an experimental pilot program, similar to the TIPS bond, that compensates people who are concerned about the future value of the dollar. For those who are concerned about a big financial meltdown, these bonds would give them some insurance, as gold tends to rise in price during periods of financial stress.

The Chinese would welcome this development, because it would likely be a stabilizing force for the value of the dollar and protect their dollar holdings. "
